Matt began his career at HMRC, where he built a solid foundation in tax fundamentals before moving into private practice. Over time, he progressed through roles at both boutique and Top 20 firms, ultimately leading a private client tax function in his home city of Manchester. This breadth of experience gives him a well-rounded perspective on both the regulatory landscape and the real-world challenges clients face.
Matt is a real people person and is well known for his personable style and strong problem-solving skills focused on building lasting relationships and helping clients and contacts navigate complex tax issues.
A regular speaker, Matt has presented webinars and lectures for a number of professional bodies both locally and nationally.
Outside of work, Matt loves sport specifically football, basketball, darts and motor racing. He’s also a keen traveller.
